Texas adult driver educationIf you’re a Texas resident between the ages of 18 to 24, and have not previously completed a state approved driver education course, you are required by the state to complete a Texas adult driver education course in order to get a drivers license. A Texas adult driver education course will involve classroom or online instruction, obtaining your learners permit (if you are not ready for the road test), and the final road test.

Texas Driver Education - Parent Taught Drivers Ed

texas driver educationIn Texas, the successful completion of a Texas driver education course is a required step towards getting a learner’s permit for residents under the age of 25. There are three ways to obtain the necessary Texas driver education: the Parent Taught Driver Education (PTDE) program, a class at a public school, or a course at a private commercial driving training school.
